 As a catalyst for all types of composition, Michael Omer’s entertaining and informative presentations especially aim to encourage and inspire students grappling with GCSE composition, and the new AS/A2 film music, and composing options.
Using a wide combination of musical, video and “live” illustrations, and drawing on a wide range of clips from Michael’s TV & film productions, we explore the exciting process of composing ‘music to picture’.

These presentations continue to be extremely popular - this academic year, From Page to Screen is to be offered with a possible afternoon workshop session, at no additional cost, depending on the number of students enrolled.
With this added flexibility, a full day could include composition workshops, clinics and project work on a movie screenplay - along with a ‘no-holds-barred’ Q&A session, in which students can ask questions on all areas of composing for the media and concert hall - indeed the whole package has proved extremely successful at stimulating compositional ideas, and assisting with project work at GCSE, AS & A2, as the volume of repeat bookings has shown.
