‘Night Moves’ is to receive a premiere in an eight-hands-at-two-pianos setting, performed by a new ensemble led by award winning pianist Nadia Lasserson. Tightly scored, and driven by some extremely incisive rhythmic motifs, it attempts to describe urban nocturnal activity, seen and heard through different eyes & ears. Michael’s recent visits to New York City, where he performed his jazz cabaret shows, may well be the trigger for this work.
